Composition Color MIB2 Microphone

Post by kurtbeyli »

Hi all,
I have purchased and retrofitted the composition color MIB2 with bluetooth and dab (Part number : 6C0 035 869 A). After removing component protection and activating the bluetooth with online coding from VW I realised I would need a microphone in order to answer a call, it was a little late I know :), I have found the microphone(Part number : 3B0 035 711B) although I'm not entirely sure if it fits the radio I bought. So here is the question, how can I connect the microphone to my radio? I don't know where that green part should fit into. I have quadlock that fits and covers all the pins of the radio by the way.

here is the link to the microphone;

here is the link to the radio I bought;

I'm new in this forum by the way. If I have broke any rules of this forum without knowing, I beg your pardon.

Have a great day!

you're post is better than most i've seen here. I think it will not fit. the RNS quadlock has number 3B7035447 and the microphone plug is 3B7035447B.
for the discover and compostion cars (MQB), the quadlock is 8X0035447 and the microphone plug (green) is 8X0035447B.
what you need to find out, is if those two have the same fit. if they have the same fit, it will work.

to see the differences, see this:

@iichel Thanks for the answer that cleared a lot of incorrect information for me, I really appreciate it :).
@Grizwald No I have 6c1 which has a stock composition color radio. I'm currently trying to retrofit a new MIB2 composition color with bluetooth.

@kurtbeyli, did you manage to change everything, including new microphone wiring and bluetooth activation?
I also have 6C and I was thinking of ordering the same 6C0 035 869 A radio composition. I have Polo Fresh TSI 2014 also without bluetooth and phone function.
How much of a problem for you was doing the full install?
Thanks for your help!

@kurtbeyli Have you manage the 6C0 035 869 A installed? I have Polo Fresh 2014 and Composition intalled on it. I have bought 6C0 035 869 A and re installed. My service has removed the protection but was unable to activate Bluetooth. They said the unit has no Bluetooth in it.

Regards :shock:

@tuneman I succesfully installed the radio mentioned above and I can confirm that it has bluetooth in it. In order to activate the bluetooth your service needs to code the radio from scratch. Because your car is unaware of the fact that your infotainment system has bluetooth. However, If the software of your car is a new version, you can activate your bluetooth with a vag cable with just a tick on bluetooth tab in vcds software. Sorry for late reply.
Have a great day!
