No, don't take the CAN from the radio! This is convenience CAN (Radio and climatronic), orange/green and orange/red. Take CAN powertrain from tacho, steering angle/slip ring. This is orange/brown + orange/black.

The AFS cables look good.

The bi-xenon adapter will work, but only with high or max BCM (7H0 937 089 x, 7H0 937 090 or 7E0 937 090). Do you have such a BCM already?
If no, but you plan to fit: for that, you can probably use the wiring from carstyle4u or you can look at the BCM Max wirings that ciclo proposes.
If yes: then the adapter will work perfectly.
If no, and not plan to fit: you will need to adjust the wiring of the bi-xenon adapter. This is not recommended.

ok on AFS wiring there are
Xenon for what I did not understand
I have this bcm 6R0 937 087 H
I thought I should follow these connections:

I did not think of having to change bcm and take the max
ps maybe we should we write in the topic of xenon

As far as I know, the 087 BCM does not have T73b/5 and /6 for the PWM signal. But let's wait for ciclo, I think he knows better than I do about these pins.

I got it..
However, looking at the picture of the links that I put, I speak of my BCM
then, frankly, I do not understand

I found the photo, it is not mine, a BCM 087H
They seem to be the pin 5 and 6 (Circles in red)

Andrea, you need a BCM Max to run 6R xenon headlights in the right way, BCM Max is essential part.
(IMHO any other way is a very bad way, and I can not help in this case, ask in French forum, they invented the trick of diodes and capacitors to install xenon with BCM High)

Remember: Xenon headlights (high/low beam) + cornering lights + led module with DRL and side/parking lights. (2+1+2)

You need:

BCM Max.
Rewire your 6R (with deficient electrical installation) to run BCM Max.(wires)
Headlight washer system.(wires)
Leveling system.(wires)
Xenon headlights.(wires)

Retrofitting of Auto leveling headlight system (AFS) for Polo 6R

Post by Andrea 6r »

hello ciclo, then I do not understand one thing:
why in the diagram you've done is my bcm as compatible?
there to be written 087 D to 087 Q, since my understood, I thought it was compatible

I'm sorry andrea6r, but that scheme is only partially correct. You are free to try, of course. And I am happy to guide you too.

I think the scheme is based on the fact that BCM 087 D to Q have the t73b/5 and /6 pins, which is necessary for OEM xenon/LED, since they provide the PWM signal for the LED.
That signal tells the LED to do high brightness (DRL) or low brightness (parking lights)
However, these BCMS do not have the t73b/3 and t73a/5. These are normally the wires that go to the DRL left and DRL right.
These are requirements for OEM xenon too, they power the LED module in the headlights. They provide the +12V when the LED needs to be on (DRL, parking lights, position lights)

The solution that ciclo proposes is to connect them now to the DRL on the light switch. But I do not think this will work.
The T14/10 only gets power now in the 0 setting. This is not good, I think. But I'm a bit reluctant to say it's completely wrong, since all I've learned is from ciclo and he is more skilled than I am.

Image

An alternate solution would be, +30 to T14/10. But!
+ it will work now
- not a very desirable solution and can give errors in BCM

Image

I agree with ciclo, that retrofit of BCM Max or High is necessary.

Thanks, now I understand [emoji41]
I will try to write a situation..
I had fitted bi-xenon for 4 years with these links (The Links Are in Italian)

Image

the headlights work but with two problems: 1) the flickering LED; 2) if I turned on the headlights were not working the headlights (high light)
then I put the DECTANE (of which I still regret) and now I want to put bi-xenon
so now I can do a trial run before the Bcm Max with these links
I can try to follow this ciclo diagram and see what happens

Yes, I am known with the flickering LED problem and the high beam 'signal' not working.
There are many solutions, but I would be happy if you go for the OEM to make it work, as it is intended.

I'm told some that this adapter is good ..
have told me about some links to Bcm 2 and 2 on the switch of the lights

If you plan to install bi-xenon in OEM way, take this wiring set:
http://m.ebay.de/itm/VW-Polo-V-6R-Xenon ... nav=SEARCH
It also includes the wires for BCM Max, if you plan to install later.

with these connectors I do not need to create the connectors for BCM selling ciclo?
I would like to avoid the change of BCM if possible
there is no difference in intensity of the LEDs between the position lights and with the low beam?
no problem, is not something that interests me much
Put simply: I want to get the LEDs lit, not flickering, and the headlights that work even without headlights.
