The Byte-Bits for Reverse (Back-Up light) and your new 'Rear fog light' are correct, they do not need to be modified.

However, New BCM coding*: (copy and paste from here)
35B029BF08E324009A280D916C6B9DD15A40472F600D10D0200000030000
Take a look at this guide (20 point) just to learn how to copy the new BCM coding from here and paste it.

*Activated functions in this new BCM coding

- Coming Home.
This function is possible because it is semiautomatic and does not require the light sensor.
How does it work  Stop the engine, pull once from stalk High Beam, the lights come on when you open the door.

- And the following functions.
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=195#p477710
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=765#p491539
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=765#p491577

Once you enter the new coding, Autoscan ---> Gateway installation list ---> Clear all DTC's ---> Done .... wait for the new reading of Gateway installation list ---> click Start (new Autoscan) ---> Save it ---> Post here.

Check all lights and new features.

---

Automatic lights and Leaving Home require the light sensor. Leaving Home function is automatic.

You need to install the light sensor, but this is the kit that is installed by everyone (around the world) on their Polo 6R.
- Dimming mirror
- Rain Light Sensor
- Wiring
- And switch with AUTO function
Useful link

Once this kit is installed, you can install my wiring for automatic lights. Here the sale  YOU (BCM Max) need the A model.

With all this information you have saved an infinite amount of time and money. But let's continue...

You do not have cruise control, hmm... a GTI without CCS? OMG ... buy these stalks 'in this store'
It will be necessary to change the ring (for models without ESP) by your current one (for models with ESP,...very easy to do). The ring of the sale is not valid for your GTI, but this is the cheapest way to get CCS for your GTI. It will also be necessary to make a slight modification to the wiring of the sale, but I will send you the necessary when you buy my wiring of automatic lights.

DRL off? With handbrake Up... ONLY! :) (it's a new feature)
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=765#p491539

If you do not want this new feature enter this new BCM coding.
35B029BF08E324009A280D916C6B9DD15A40472F600D10C0200000030000

By the way, deactivate the 'Travel Mode' function in the 'Lights and Vision' menu of MFA+ (instrument cluster) to clear this fault:

Address 55: Headlight Range (J431) Labels: 6R0-907-357.clb
1 Fault Found:
5275648 - Left/Right Driving Switch-Over Active

and again, Autoscan, gateway installation list, wait, Clear all DTC's, etc... and New Autoscan (if you want).

I made a double check about the handbrake, it was on, that's why DRL went off  lol

So if I understand correctly I dont need to 'activate' the rear fog light by turning on a bit, right? Just do the wiring? I was going to do it this weekend but I wasn't able :(

If so I will let you know the results. :)

The new message works great, the handbrake mode works, the DRL off while turning light on works and the CH function works terrific!!

Thanks a lot Cyclo :D

By the way I can't see the diagrams of the 'right way' to do the wiring anymore. Could you please share them again?

I love the new functions of the lights and DRL you sent me :D

Did not you download them?
I'm really sorry, I had to delete them because I need space in my google account to publish other diagrams or information ... (it is saturated with information)

I hope you remember how it was because I will not do it again. My time is very limited!!! ... I apologize for it, but I have to attend to many other people.

Opportunity and TRUST, those terms to take into consideration.

Hello guys sorry for my late reply, I have been quite busy lately.

I have done all the connections as Ciclo said and IT WORKS!! :D:D:D

however at first step the "new rear fog light bulb" was white I replaced it with a red led bulb and now it looks like this:

Image

I found out that the connection to the cluster was already there so when I turn on the rear fog a light in dash turns on too

Image

I have seen that some switches turn on in yellow the rear fog light icon even though mine doesn't

Image

Thanks Ciclo for all your help and sorry about asking twice for the diagrams I will keep in mind what you said. Now my next mod will be the auto lights set up.

Good job!. Thank you for the report! The need aroused your senses.

Have you visually checked that the wire for warning light of rear fog light is present in the instrument cluster connector (T32/13)? :)

No I have not. How can I be sure? I tried but I wasn't able to see the connector from the back of the dash.

you'll have to remove the cluster and remove the blue housing from the white terminal holder ;)
