Wheel Help! 18inch + Lowering Springs

Hi guys,
So I've got some 3SDM 006 wheels, they're 18inch 8.5j ET35. I was wondering how low (on lowering springs) I could safely go? Am I right in saying 25/40? Also, would i need to run spacers on the front wheels, as I test fitted the rims without tyres and they look like they will rub when I turn corners
