I am hoping I will be happy, the wife is envious already ! Just out of interest, I noticed that most Polo's have rear reflector in the lower part of the bumper with the exception of the R line, is this because this model has DRL's ? Please forgive my ignorance.

Purely down to styling. Different bumper on the R-Line. The reflectors are in the rear light assemblies. Nothing to do with the LED headlights and DRLs

The R-line is exactly the same but with the sport styling.

I would have bought one but did not for the soul reason that you can only have adaptive cruise control on the SEL and not the R-line or GTI due to the different bumper.

that's really crazy, since the center lower grill on the R-Line and Blue GT are exactly identical. And the BlueGT does come with ACC

Just had a weeks holiday not particularly driving for economy. However Peterborough to Bournemouth averaged 60.4 mpg last Friday and then Ilfracombe to Peterborough 59.7 mpg today.

Wow! I struggle to get above 50mpg on motorway journeys with cruise control at 75. A roads I do better usually mid-50s.

Lucky you!
