morning everyone

ive serviced my polo but i have no idea how to get the "service" reminder thing to stop flashing on the dails. ideas any one?

Its all in the owners manual if you have it to hand ;)

There are lots of replies to this if you actually do a search.

Anyway, Hold the trip button down whilst turning on ignition hold for 10-15 secondes and the display should flash and reset to "-- --"

That doesnt work on mk4s mate. You have to have the ignition on, then turn it off and press a series of buttons.

I have a early 1997 build Polo (6N I assume) and a very late build 1999 Polo. These are Australian delivered cars, both 1.6 8V Automatics and the service reset as described works for both.
I guess it is possible that UK build/delivered are different. Perhaps try it and see?

sorted it.

-(with the ignition off and keys out) press and hold the mile reset button
-turn ignition on
-wait until the display goes like '--'
-turn ignition off and keys out and release button.

incase any ones else has the same problem
