Hi everyone i am new here with a polo 6n1, the car seems fine to drive etc, its just while stationary, trying to hold the revs about 2k i noticed it sort of cuts out and then climbs back up, if you know what i mean, heres a video i did last night, just wondered what i need to check etc, if anybody knows,'thanks alot if you can help..

Have you had it scanned with VCDS?
Also, give the throttle body a really good clean out with some carb cleaner spray

Hello thanks for replying, no i havent had it scanned..I dont what vcds is sorry..
Yes i already have cleaned it with carb spray, also fitted new dizzy cap and rotor arm/plugs etc...
Fitted a new breather pipe from pcv to air filter as that was collapsed, could a blocked pcv be the problem aswell, as the pipe keeps filling with gungey mess..
LIke i said it drives ok, dosent seem to have any problems, just revs while stationary just seem to die/ cut off then come back again..no problems on the move etc..

VCDS/Vag-com is the diagnostic software for the car. Its similar to what garages use to scan modern cars for faults.

Sounds more like the idle valve isnt working properly. A block PCV wont help, but they dont normally fail
