'Exhaust back box peeling' advisory
'Exhaust back box peeling' advisory
Thinking of buying a 2005 1.2 petrol Polo with the last mot advisory ' exhaust back box is peeling'. Don't know much about cars generally so not sure how significant this is and if it's advisable to get it sorted at a garage asap and if so what that would cost. Any help appreciated.

I had the same issue on my last MOT, haven't done anything since. Got this year's MOT next week if anything comes of it I will let you know!

Yeah - had that on ours for 2 years now - eventually it will start to 'blow' and we will get it replaced : )

Re: 'Exhaust back box peeling' advisory
I spotted that well before getting an advisory on my wife's previous 9N Polo, I just bought a length of stainless steel "Jubilee" banding from Halfords and secured the peeling area by banding round the box.
