I am Gettin A polo Gt want a g40 but cant find any, so was wonderin if its possible to charge a Polo Gt Thanks. and would anything need upgrading if i did do this. cheers

to buy just a new charger youll need a cheque in the region of 1500 quid!!

..and then it will melt your pistons in a rather amusing fashion.
The compression ratio on a GT is particularly high, and the compression ratio on a G40 is particularly low, in order that it can cope with the extra pressure from the charger. I'm pretty sure the G40 also has uprated pistons etc. You would be able to charge a GT with a low compression turbo, but it wouldn't produce the same result as a proper G40 as the GT simply can't cope with as much pressure.

damn, so its really not a good idea then... where the hell am i gunna get a g40 from >.<

Be patient! Keep an eye on ebay... seen a few really nice ones go for arround 2-3g's
