Why cant i get 195/45/17 Tyres anymore?

Post by CalvinGTI »

As the subject says, ive been ringing around for a day now, and no-where seems to stock or even be able to get in for me, 195/45/17 tyres !!!!

My 17's need some new rubber, does anyone have experience with 17's and 205 tyres on the MK5 polo? will they even fit? or will they scrape ALL the time?

i didnt get them last time as the wheels came with the pirelli P-Zero tyres already on them and there was no point in changing them.

just want some rubber for the summer !!!!

You may have to go with the 205 width then. Dunno if the extra 2cm would cause problems tho . :? someone will know.

doh ! that does seem pricey Mysteryboy

Just had a look at the link Infa-Red left me and they have Pirelli P-Zeros 195/40/17 for £87, 35's will be a bit too much of a heavy ride PhilGTI lol !

not too bad !

ill just have to wait till i come back from Holiday, booked 8 nights in Bali at the Hilton yesterday so havent got loads of spare cash this month. . .still gonna be living it up in Paradise first week of April.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh pure relaxation !

Cheers for the info guys, once again UK-Polo's came up trumps :-p

How much have you lowered it by ? im on a drop of around 40mm. . .

Sounds good though, having 205's wud be 1000 times better than 195's.
