1998 1.0L Polo Problem

Post by Kingbo »

I've had my 1.0L Polo for nearly 2 years now with no major problems. Recently though I've been having problems when starting. The engine seems to start fine but whenever I give it any gas it cuts out.

After a while trying to get it to turn over it'll struggle for a few hundred metres, and after that it's fine to drive, other than when idle, it's very loud.

Any idea what the problem is? Thanks in advance for any help.
