10 month bonus policies only apply to companies who offer them, no-one else tends to recognise it as 1 years NCB.

I was 19 when I had the GTi and started off paying about £1700 then £1300 then £960, got rid of it after nearly 3 years for the R32 (am now 22) and pay £1100 fully comp in my own name, with no named drivers in the policy with Direct Line.

People must be getting richer or cars cheaper. I keep seeing people a few years younger than me in brand new Corsas and 2 year old Fiesta ST's. Must be taking out loans

So are you all saying that you are a named driver when your actually the main :? also, the fact that i will be 18 but will have only been driving 10 months when my renewal is due, will that make a difference in price compared to having a years exp?

Thanks

yeh, bcus i have had insurance for a year, but the first 2 months were only provisional until i passed 2 months after, so do you think they will bother that i have only had my liscense 10 months rather than a year? hope that makes sense, cheers again.
