So yeah I have sent pictures to the seller and hopefully get something sorted!!

As you can see it just sits there lol doesn't rise or anything, you can lift it and it feels stiff cause there is still fluid inside but then it slowly goes back down. So basaicly its working the opposite way lol

and this is the fluid lol

Correct me if i'm wrong... but my front shocks do the same thing and i assumed upon recoil, the spring compression would pull the top bit back out...?

none of my other shocks do it just this one... there is basicly no stiffness in the shock at all on the way down, so basicly the spring is springing freely if that makes sense... every time I hit a bit the front left side just bottoms out, and when you press that corner of the car it just wobbles around a lot were as the others bounce and then stop

POD - The Lovable GTi - Boot Build Progress Pics...

Post by KPerryGTi »

So I started on this yesterday, I need the boot space for doing my deliveries but I still want to have my sound system in there... So I decided to customise :)

Got quite a few bits to put in... except the zero sub... that's broken lol

Image
Image

Decided to have the amps on the back of the back seats...

In Progress
Image

In Car
Image

And the speakers in the shelf... now I know most people will say that its too heavy and wont work well, but I have strengthened the shelf and it works fine lol has an amazing sound...

Image

All wires hidden, amazing sound and still have a boot...

Things left to do:

1. Carpet, shape and sound dead the shelf
2. Paint the wood on the back of seat

Excuse the state of the boot.. its a reet mess! lol

Looks good! Loadza space for pizzas now lol

You gonna carpet over the speakers and sub to make it a stealth shelf??
I'd be bit worried that it's easy to grab if ppl wanted to rob it cos it's all on show and easy to reach

Nah prob not, just gonna carpet around them, still need to enclose underneath the speakers get a better sound out of them... and yeah there on show, but as long as I keep my boot looked I think it wil be fine, hardly ever leave my car unattended... park it on an enclosed drive and im never more than a couple meters away on deliveries lol plus it is actually quite hard to get in and out lol!

Oh and good news bout the shocks!!! They've sent me a new one :D should be here tomoz!!

Post by KPerryGTi »

Well happy! Had a right moan at them and managed to get out of sending them the old one back (which would have cost and taken twice as long!) so they just sent it straight to me :) Can finally use the GTi again! Got a few idea I want to try aswell... want somewhere to mount my phone so looking into that
