wich engine in polo gti

hello, i am new in this forum. I am from Slovenia, and here is so little of this cars that nobody knows nothing about them. my engine is not very good, so i wonder wich engine could also fit in this car but with no modification ( same electric, suspension) or with minimum modification? thank you

The best engine to purchase if yours is faulty would be a direct replacement in all honesty, if you can find another 1.6 GTI engine that would be the easiest solution. If you are looking for more performance then the 1.8T engine used in the Golf/Passat/Leon/Ibiza etc is suitable but will require a lot of time & work to get in place. You would also have to account for a different gearbox, ecu, wiring loom, drive shafts, engine mounts and a whole host of various other parts.

Another solution would be an engine used in some of the other 6N/6N2 Polo models such as a 1.4 engine however that would be pretty drastic

I would say find yourself another GTI engine and get it swapped over
