Does a 150hp Blue GT air filter look like this?

Post by TheFrog »

Just checking before I order, as I haven't got the car yet

If an owner of a new MY 2015, 150hp Blue GT can check for me, I'd be most appreciative :D This is a K&N model air filter, the OE might be a different colour.

I am taking my airbox off tomorrow. Will take a pic for you. Out of interest why do you want to know?

Thanks. I am looking to order a more efficient K&N filter, but their website only lists the 140hp 1.4 TSI engine. I'm sure they are the same, but as they're quite expensive, I just wanted to check :D

More efficient my rear, they add no noticeable performance and do nothing but allow more muck into the engine....not good.

The only diffenrence engine wise from the 140 to the 150 bhp is the programing in the ECU...
Everything else is the same...

I don't agree - I have one on my MX5 and there is a slight, but definite improvement in performance. The engine revs more easily, though of course this might not be the case with the Polo.
