Handbrake cable caliper mechanism

Post by dantheram »

Is there anyway to fix a sticky calliper hanbrake mechanism - mines not clearing and is holding the brakes on slightly.

You'll want to fit the sharan return springs. rum4ho has details the part numbers in a 9n3 post somewhere

They force the handbrake to return properly

"Update, the current part numbers for these springs are 7H0 615 296 for RH side, and 7H0 615 295A for LH side £2.48 + vat each."

Not sure how to fit them but I'll have a read around and post back here what I find.

Detailed here - http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/23 ... n-springs/

They literally clip into place. Very easy to do
