I'd like to fit the auto lights and rain sensor to my polo next could anyone here point me in the right direction, guides, components and wiring etc

If you want to do an OEM installation (with original parts), try to understand everything that is written 
here. My English is far from correct.
The information is absolutely free. You do not have to buy anything from this sale if it is not your wish (somewhere had to have all the information and I decided in the sales section).
Myself will code your BCM Max and your light/rain sensor (free) when you finish doing the whole installation if you post a VCDS Autoscan here.
