Installed a Volkswagen MIB2 in my 2012 Polo 6R. Trying to get the usb to work so I can have Apple carplay working. Can’t seem to get it working, I’ve tried looking at the code and I couldn’t get it to work, this is my set up. Can anyone help??

Rlinegrey unfortunately my 2012 does not have a MAI unit in the glove box. Instead it has an AMI media port which will only give out power, and wont support any device you plug in for data transfer.

thought I would come back on this to close the thread out
You need to amend the long coding to enable USB/Iphone UI4 functionality.
Taken from mr fix video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JH6wFeh8SmQ
Module: 5F → Coding → Long Coding → Byte: 19 → Bit: 6 → enable
Module: 5F → Coding → Long Coding → Byte: 19 → Bit: 7 → enable
Module: 5F → Adaptation → Channel: Interface for external media activation - connection 1 → activated
Apple car play USB part number for a polo is is 6C0035249B
There are an additional two pins for the USB to work which go from:
Pin 3 Green qudlock > USB Green Fakra pin 6
Pin 4 Green quadlock > USB Green Fakra pin 7
Of course you need to have apple car play activated via a swap code release either at the dealer or I had mine done by Bart at VAG Retrofits Coventry
