Hi ppl,
I need to know what actual fuse i need to remove before i open up the HPFP , My Easymanuals vw workshop dont show it for some reason, any1 able to tell me which one & where it is located ? Engine bay or in car dash? There are a few fuses/relay.
I thought maybe unclipping the Vacuum pump electrical adapter would be enough to discharge the fuel pressure but i spect its not .
So basically which fuse to pull out to relieve the pressure .?
Thanks
In advance

Re: Hpfp removal & fuse
there isn't a fuse it comes straight off the ECU.
Even pulling the fuse wouldn't relieve any pressure.
Best way is unplug the fuel solenoid off the pump and pull the fuse for the Low pressure pump then start the car.
It'll run for a bit then cut out and reduce the pressure as far as possible.
You don't get that much spray when take off the HP line if you do it slowly.

Re: Hpfp removal & fuse
No problem.
I took mine off quite a few times when I was trying to get the golf pump to work.
I got it down to about 20 mins to swap the pump if I didn't care about the fuel lol
