Hi Ciclo,

Let me first say this all members here, I dont have a VW Polo, but i come pretty close with a Skoda Fabia. I'm sorry if i dont belong ,but i need some help from you guys, so here goes!

My Fabia is a type 2 5J 2011 model, 1.2 tdi no different from the other Polo you've been helping out for (from India). My engine no too is CFWA and i have this (low line version of MFD) http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attachmen ... luster.jpg - except its in green.

What i've done so far:
1. I have the CCS and TRIP stalks installed - 6RD 953 503 J
2. I've fitted a Highline BCM (6R7930787M)
3. I've wired the Stalks, BCM and ECU as per the diagram in your posts

But i'm not able to get it to work, am I missing something here?

The only difference i saw in one post was to connect wires to the instrument cluster. MY instrument cluster displays temperature, DTE, Fuel Consumption, trip, digital speed, avg speed. I can move between menus using the button on the stalks.
Do I need to add those 3 wires to the cluster?

Please help, as i'm out of ideas now.

Cheers,
Aayush

Hi Ciclo,

Update, got it to work! The Stalks (CCS) was not connected properly to T41 - done by just pushing the connector in correctly!

The other thing is, that there's no CCS display on the cluster, any fix for this and a few errors on the scan that i'm not able to get rid of?

Here's the scan:

remove all errors and see if they come back. there is at least 2000km difference between your errors so good chances they are pretty old

The instrument cluster (no communication) has been there in spite of clearing it in the past.
The others are new after installing the new BCM!

..also tried to remove these, but they come back all over again!

Try this coding.
7C980B9808D30748002000003C2890800080000F60000000000000000000
Also verify that the connector on the Heated rear window has not detached.

Do you have an auto scan from your previous bcm with factory coding?

Sure I'll give it a go!
Also I don't have a heated rear window! They removed this feature here in India to cut costs (bummer).

Don't have scans from the previous bcm, but I did copy the long coding for can gateway and central electrics before I swapped the bcm.

The instrument cluster error was on even on the old one.

Also I don't know if it will make a difference but I used the same coding I had copied from the old one and then made changes by adding cruise control and all.

One more thing, previously the car would give an audible lock/unlock conformation, now it's only visual with the turn indicators in spite of the option being activated on bcm.

I'll post the codes once I'm home!

Thanks, I'll give them a go.

Just something I was also thinking about, the new bcm has these new ports which aren't connected to anything (wires) as the car didn't come with some options (heated Windows etc) and hence the errors?

what about the display for cruise control on the cluster. Can anything be done for this?

Regards,
Aayush.

Hi Guys

Finally i was able to install ccs in my polo tdi india with success. It was a very tedious job. Working in the footwell without removing seat compounded the difficulties as it became a physical challenge as well. Now I recommend that the seat should be removed.

Inserting pins in bcm was hard but in the end i could place my mobile in video mode with flash on at a strategic place next to the bcm connectors and see everything magnified on the screen from the steering side opening. Extending the idea further one can use a flexible usb camera with laptop to make things easier.

Information guidance provided by the forumn members (ciclo, gannu, robert......many more) helped me a lot. Thank you all without your help i could not have done it.

Hey buddy! That's great! I've also just finished the install.
Did you upgrade the instrument cluster?

If not do you get the CCS display on the cluster, did you do something specific to get this?

Do share!

You'll get the icon on the cluster as soon as you activate CCS in the BCM and ECU, and activate cruise control while driving

So that's what hasn't happened. CCS works but not the display on the cluster. Everything else but the CCS display works.
Did u connect those 3 wires to ur cluster from the t41 connector to support high and low?
