That sucks James, most of us are guilty for giving into to stuff like that when there's nothing around!

I was going to ask about the cupra headlights, but now i look at it, they compliment the wheels really well!

cheers for the sympathy guys...if i do get banned the car will be garaged and worked on till i get my license back...cycling to work would do me good anyway, lets hope it doesnt come to that though(although it looks likely).

Not sure exactly what this will mean for my insurance either...i imagine even points will mean a hefty increase, have any of you got points/ know what effect it has? i'm going to put off my renewal which runs out this weekend as it may be a waste of cash..and im guessing they would need to update my quote with the new points (if i get lucky), god knows what it would be..

Points will severely load your policy. My 3 alone adds £150 to it. Six is double that, and 9 - 12 well your considering big numbers.

ouch man, sounds harsh! hope it all works out for you, would be a huge waste for a monster car like that to be off the road. always keep half an eye on this thread, car looks mint!

ok i decided to take the car down to Regal autosport in southampton to see what it was putting out, my mechanic said he was sure it wasnt pushing out anymore than 300 so i thought i'd find out for sure & see if i could find any problems by getting it dyno'd......Well he was right, as it came to the end of the run blue smoke started coming out of the exhaust & as he let off quite a large ploom appeared (this was at the equivalent of 110mph+ so dificult to see if driving along!!). The overall result was

- 283.5 bhp @ 6600rpm & 256lbft of torque...
- 1.2 bar of boost from 3700rpm - 5200rpm then tails off to around 1.1 bar

I'm pretty shocked its 'only' running this much and feels so much quicker than my old k03s..and now i can only wonder what 360bhp would actually feel like. I am actually excited rather than annoyed as it wont take alot to have a massive power boost back up to 340+

The only two causes i can see (other than loose pipes) is either worn piston rings or turbo, either way the engines coming out so new rings will be fitted along with a nice new turbo, there happens to be an IHI VF34 hybrid for sale at the mo capable of 380+ so i may just get that so when its all done the power will be ...well insane..

car sounded awesome from about 4k upwards...
