Anyone else had any pleasure of taking there motor back to VW out of warranty and getting the Coil Pack replaced?

Ive heard stories from people who said they got theres replaced when the car was out of warranty. . .

im tempted to just go down and get in a strop at the local VW dealership haha

VW had a problem with coil packs couple of years ago.

Think it was mainly on the 1.8T motor though.

Throw a strop, they might do it anyway.

Polo GTI doesn't have coil packs, still uses one large coil and leads. The 1.8T has a separate coil for each cylinder.
