Simple help needed on mirrors please, please

Just bought a Polo '04, with electronically adjusted mirrors. The controls change the angle of the glass within the mirrors.
However, I am trying to fold the mirrors away completely, as I park down a narror road. Is this possible? I don't want to mess with them too much incase I damage them!
Any help would be very much appreciated
