My Website, Check it Out

Post by Tim_GTi »

Hey Guys,

Can you guys have a look and let me know what you think?

I like it man thats pretty sweet.

I didn't know you were into Filming at all haha,i don't skate but ride BMX (don't hate me).Do you find yourself watching quite alot of skate videos for inspiration like angles techniques etc?,we use a board sometimes for rolling shots. My friend has a minidv camera nothing too fancy but he welded an old set or handlebars for a carry handle like yours has as standard.

I like the concept behind your site,be good for yourself as an online archive to look at how you've progressed.

Im jealous of your DSLR too,ive just got a 20D but am slowly finding my way around it.

Good work mate i bet your chuffed with the site,i havent the patience to make a site too much code.

Site is nice enough, but I would try remove some of the links to try and get the photos + videos centre-stage. Look at this site, I think it's great - it's basically just his pictures - www.softbox.ie

Best of luck with it!

Cheer guys, Brad yeh I'm watching short films and skate films all day long!

And yeh it was made a a place to keep all of my progress up to date. I figured i'm at the point now where I'm going to start applying to places left right and centre, and it's good to have something to link everybody to.

8080 - Yeh that was an option to just have a portfolio content layout. But I wanted a bit more of a proper website layout, with tabs etc across the top. I've seen a lot of stand alone slideshow style websites, and didn't really think it was me.

I film in 25 fps most of the time.

Then 24fps for cinematic stuff.

And 50fps for slomo stuff (you record in twice the framerate, then slow it down 50% and it's nice and smooth).

umm.. track 1 is Caribou - Leave house,
track 2 is Ratatat - 2 (off the 9 beats album)

I'm currently doing another 3 projects which should be done soon too 8)

So Tim i hear you're heading to Kent during may time to film a small BMX edit?.It's my friends birthday so we're having a trails jam again as we did lastyear.Lots of good BBQ food, music, warm weather, out in the countryside.

Just need someone to film a few runs through the rythem sections  .

Looks like you've worked pretty hard man, good to see someone passionate about other things too.I bought a Canon EOS 20D camera a while back so maybe you could teach me how to use some of the bits on it properly too haha.
