Polo 1.2 TDi Match (First car!)

Post by Match »

Hey! This is my first post post, though I've been checking out the forum for a couple of weeks now.

I'm 17 in a couple of weeks and I've just bought my first car (with help from my dad), which is a 61 plate Polo Match 1.2 TDI and I'm very very pleased with it as you could guess haha! :D I pick it up at the end of next week when it has rear parking sensors put on it. I'll take pictures when I see it tomorrow.

As I'm 17 and it's a nearly new car, I can't really do much apart from remove the dealer sticker/debadge off the top of my head - any other suggestions?

I've seen a few people on here being dicks to young drivers with new cars so if you're going to be jealous then don't bother replying please, I contributed over £5000 to my car and the car will be equally used by my parents so I'm nota spoilt brat

Hope to get really involved in the forum and get to know you all, I've been a massive fan of cars since I was little so I'm really excited to get on the roads

Car specs:
2011 (61) VW Polo 1.2 TDi 5 door
Multifunction leather steering wheel
Front and rear mud flaps (short)
VW rubber floor mats - front and rear

Welcome to the forum! Very nice first car - safe, reliable and good looking... Good choice!

Debadge and start detailing :) get some good shampoo, two buckets, grout sponges, plush drying towel, polish, wax and microfiber cloths and keep it sparkling at all times!!

Better to have a mint standard car than anything dirty IMHO :)

Drive carefully too!

Cheers

I've always liked VWs and I don't see that changing so I could be the same! It's Reflex Silver, I would have preferred grey but I'm not fussed and I hope to either respray the alloys black or grey/anthracite (tight budget, insurance etc) although I'd love to get some different alloys, GTi grill and lower it in the future.
