Gloss black in any other wheel other than the Vw Motorsport (or similar design) looks rubbish onthe 6R polo in white.

Go with the standard polo colour Pepper Grey Metallic, this offsets nice against the white without looking dirty like the black.

If the opening question applies only to white cars, take a good look at all plastic inserts on the polo 6R, everything is matte black apart from the 2 door pillars. If you are truly interested in complimenting a white polo with a black wheel, it is matte black or nothing.

I don't really think silver ages though, black wheels go in and out of fashion, plus because of the amount of chavs that have them it's a good enough reason for me not to have them. Anthracite is a nice compramise

I like matt, not only it is cooler but also more trouble free.
Even with some dust and tiny scratches glossy wont look too good imo.
not to mention that most, if not all, black parts on our polo is matt (like plastics etc)

Seems everyone put black rims on white cars, should have go for something like Bronze, copper, gold or gun metallic!
