9n tdi 130 playing up

Post by danny4646 »

hey guys,
has this fault on and off for a while now, but more so now its getting cold, i get the glow plug lgiht flashing up, and the engine managment light on, with my code reader i get g28 engine speed sensor implausible po321, so i unplugged the crank sensor, flick the igniton and and went to crank, but of-course wouldnt fire up, same dash lights on, but with fault codes po322, which appears to be no signal, am i right in thinking this is a crank sensor fault? but when shes been started and ran, fires up all day long no problems :wall:

any ideas guys?

cheers

got my new sensor today, resistance between pins 1 and 2 are 465 ohms, the old one still fitted reads 476 ohms, so im in two minds to attempt to fit it (right ball ache by looks of it!)
with ignition off i get 0.22v across each pin individually
ignition on i get 2.52 v across each pin individually

any ideas?

cheers

Crank sensor works on magnetic field reading, so a multimeter isnt a true test.

I had a sensor once that read right, but didnt work and had to be replaced.
