Hi folks, looking to buy an e46 330ci m sport convertible come november time. was looking at e92 330d m sports but due to wanting to start my own business next year i want save as much as possible but still get rid of my polo. my existing car is a 1.9tdi 100 remapped to 148bhp. would the 330ci still be noticeably quicker than my polo, as i know the polo isnt rapid but its no slouch either. oh and i think ill be converting to auto lol.
Thanks anyways
Danny

Re: 330ci E46
They are nice cars buddy, the guy who lives next door but one to me has one and it sounds lovely.
It will be faster but it will feel totally different to drive than the polo, rear wheel drive and heavier etc.
One thing i'd look out for is running costs, tax will be more i'd say probs over £200 a year and i'd guess at you would only average about 30mpg if you are driving around town and driving enthusiasticallly lol
The 320d's hold their value more as they are more popular as they are usually chaper to run
