Why 6C?
Re: Why 6C?
Good question I had wondered on this. I expected it to be along the lines of 6R2 as there is a spacing character - 6Rz in the chassis numbers for the pre-facelift.

Re: Why 6C?
Because 6C is the internal number at VW.
The Mk 6 Golf (Which was a massive facelift of the Mk 5) didn't change chassisnumber either.
the 6N2 also had a 6N chassisnumber.
9N3 had a 9N number
Passat 3BG had a 3B number... and so on and so forth...

This was my logic for 6R2. I wonder if in time we will refer to it as 6R2 as 6C looses momentum.

Re: Why 6C?
The facelift on the T5 Transporter is called T5GP (Grosse Produktendrung or in english Big Pruductchange) But my mates and I just call it T6 because it's easier...ben4012 wrote:Mart!n-GTI-DK wrote:Because 6C is the internal number at VW.

But we probably have to change that when the actual T6 comes.
