Just Brought a Polo (Enquiry)

Post by jakecassidy92 »

Hello I am new to this whole VW Polo after owning a Seat Ibiza for the past 3 years I decided to come to the bright side of buying a Polo, I went for a 2012 1.2 TDI and I was wondering has anyone remapped these or know if it's worth doing?

So not really worth it then really?
Will it effect the MPG or anything as that's really what I brought the car for.

mpg has more to do with driving style than anything else.
i could mange 3.5 liter/100km if I try, but 7l/100km if you drive like a hooligan.

the biggest factor will be, whether it has had the SW update for the diesel scandal. it ruins your fuel mileage and naggers the EGR valve and DPF.

To be honest 9/10 I drive pretty sensible
Do have mad moments (Well as mad as you can in a 1.2) [emoji23]
So MPG is always very good.

Re mapping would be a waste of time really by the sounds of it. May just concentrate on Style and looks. Make subtle little changes.

Just save your cash towards a GTI or Golf for the future in my opinion. Cars are pretty much 3 years and expendable nowadays so just keep saving towards that dream car like the Porsche I will one day own!
