Hello all. My driver side control arm almost snapped on my home the other day. I have replacement part for it. But just wanted a little advice on how todo this. Ive got a haynes manual and a fairly good understanding. Just didnt want to dive straight in.
Can anyone give me a rough guide (inc do i need to removw balljoint or is the knuckle in the way)
Any help would be appreciated

Renew the ball joint and the anti roll bar drop link with decent quality parts - Febi or Genuine
Its a reasonably easy task if you are good with a set of spanners. You need to put the front side in before pivoting in the rear horizontal bush part of the control arm
it is however easier on a ramp rather than a jack due to access. Depends how comfortable you are with limited working space

Cheers for your reply. Sorry for my late response.
Ended up doing both sides as they were both snapped
i took it in for alignment this morning (just front toe angle coz im a poor ass) and he told me the camber on rear wheels is out slightly.
Seperate subject but how do i adjust rear camber on stock suspension?
Cheers

Wow thats quite something!
Rear wheel camber isnt adjustable on these, and is always out against the alignment. Nothing to worry about
