I had the standard 6c NMF plastic wheel in my 2016 Polo S, I have swapped it to a MFSW from a 2016 Match. They are identical apart from the material, trim and buttons.

I know I need a slip ring, and a new wiring loom. However I am unsure what the exact part codes I will need will be.

the headunit code I have is part no. 6C0035869A I would like the telephone and volume buttons to be operational along with trip I am aware cruise buttons won't work.

Any advice appreciation

So let's start at the beginning.

Does your BCM support MFSW? T73c/13 must be present.
The best option is to physically remove the BCM and see if the pin is present.

Does your car have cruise control? If so, you can in fact control it.
You do not need a different slip ring.

The steering wheel is already fitted, and as a new driver (17 years old) I have no mechanical knowledge. The car is not specified with cruise control. Is there another way to check for the BCM. The wheel was fitted by a VW mechanic free of charge so I never saw the process.
