6n2 gti with Jenvey ITB’s

Hi all,
Sorry if these questions have already been asked but I have a 2000 6n2 gti that I am wanting to put jenvey throttle bodies on, I have high lift cams, lightened and balanced flywheel and crankshaft, bigger injectors (which I cannot remember what the ITB’s came with but they are Bosch type plug so imagine they are Bosch injectors), I’m just wondering what sort of standalone ecu would run the timing, fuel, ignition and vvt?
Also another thing I have fully rebuilt the engine but it won’t start up, just cranks fires up for a split second pops a little out the manifold (all I have in the way of an exhaust system at the moment) then dies out, the Rev counter moves so I’m getting a reading from the crank sensor, I believe I’ve timed it up correctly with the correct timing tools, I also found out I have no communication to the ecu when borrowing someones vagcoms? Just wondering is someone can shed some light and point me in the right direction
Many thanks
