The reason why it cost so much is because when the metal door skin bent inwards, it leant over the crash bar and bent the metal outwards. Different franchises of chips away charge different amounts. My 2 local ones got quotes in when my Golf R got lightly keyed on my C pillar. One quoted £145 and the other quoted £425.
