Just bought a 6N GLX Polo. Unfortunately the handbook is missing and the data label is not on the boot floor.
I am trying to find out the gearbox code for this car (1996). The engine is the 1.6 AEE.
Is there anyone with a similar age UK GLX that can help?

Well I managed to rub the crud off the top of the gearbox flange and read the code / number. It seems to be DCC.
I checked that on the Proxy Parts website and that seems to be a valid code for the date of production. There are so many 085 gearbox variations!
