I cant really see if anyone else has just changed the loom and its solved their issue. The output reading on injector 2 suggests its faulty so I think I'm going to bite the bullet and replace the injector.
Just for reference here are the bits I'm going to order and cost:

Re: 9N old shape Diesel 1.4 3 cylinder - poor starting, suspect injector.
Having similar issue, although mine starts fine, it just runs lumpy.
I'm getting the same output (2.99) on cylinder 2, which it my suspected faulty injector. I just wanted to know if people have changed the wiring loom and its solved the issue.
I suspect it will need a new injector.

Polo 9n 1.4 TDI (AMF) running rough
Hi,
Hope all are well.
Polo started running rough intermittently recently, now it seems to be most of the time.
Its down on power too when running rough. It never had any lights on the dash during this period just engine shaking and loss of power.

Re: Water under rear seat
I had this recently. My issue was water coming in from the holes for the rear lights. I have a 9n with the 9n3 lights, installed for 14 years and never had an issue.
I tried the following first, cleaned behind the lights, then new bulb holders, then new seals. None of which solved the issue.

Re: Passenger door stuck
If its the door lock module that has failed I have used the the following method.
I had a Mk4 Golf, it suffered the same fault.
I got two mates, put friend 1 in the drivers seat and friend 2 at the rear where the faulty door was.
Friend 1 was tasked with locking and locking the doors using the ...

Water leak into boot/rear seat
Hi all,
Hope all are well.
Got a 2003 5 door Polo. Suddenly it is leaking water into the boot and rear seat base. Its all down the passenger side only.
At first, I thought it was just the washer fluid pipe which has join in the passenger side of the boot, as I could smell the washer fluid, so ...

Re: Gearbox leaking oil
I've read somewhere online that its used to get a quick 'full' drain on the gearbox. Its just an odd place to get a leak, cant find anything about it online.RUM4MO wrote: Mon Aug 14, 2023 9:17 pm I would not remove that plate without first knowing what it does, it must be more than just a VW badge.

Gearbox leaking oil
Hi all, hope you are well.
I gave my car in for a service the other day, managed to get underneath to have a look around and spotted a leak on the gearbox.
The leak seems to be coming from the VW logo badge which is bolted at the bottom of the gearbox, my garage hadn't seen that before. I can't ...

9N 1.4 TDI AMF clanging when running
Hi,
Getting a clanging from engine/gearbox, not sure where its coming from but can sometimes change/reduce the noise if I move the gear stick around. Heard on idle.
I have previoulsy had the dogbone mount changed sometimes ago, wondering if that has gone again.
Was going to try and get ...

Just an update to this:
Replaced the front discs and pads. Solved the issue. No more judder and I cant feel the on/off bite on the brakes when pressing the brake pedal.
To confirm, before posting on here, I had already balanced the wheels and new rear discs and pads were fitted. Also in the last ...

Thought I'd post this up to get a second opinion.
I'm getting shaking while braking usually at 60mph+ the faster the more violent the shake. Its through the steering wheel only. I cant feel any fedback under the pedal but I can feel where the pads are getting more grip.

Metal piece from sump plug
Hi all,
Last year serviced the polo (1.4tdi, AMF) myself and bought a magnetic sump plug (for the first time, on offer at ECP).
This year had it serviced from local indy as I didnt have the time.
Showed me about a six inch piece of metal which he pulled from the sump plug (attached to the ...
