Oh and I had the recess done as a Christmas present at my dads garage but the lad said it would cost alot more than it's worth but I supose that's his opinion lol

Cheers for the good comments. Will get some pics up this weekend of the smooth front end. Been meaning to do get some for ages for other forums.
The wheels are the standard gti wheels made by ronal. You can probably get replicas nowadays.
And I hope it wasn't for sale haha!

sorry to drag up an old post but did you people have problems wiring your head units up? iv got th jvc avx810 double din jobby but the can bus to iso adapter i bought either works all the time with the headunits wires yellow-yellow red-red or not at all yellow-red yellow-red and when working all the...

It's a jvc avx-810 double din head unit. And has a jvc cd changer socket in the back

9n3 gti - standard cd changer to jvc head unit???
Does anyone have a solution on how I can get my standard fit cd changer to work with my jvc double din headunit? The jvc has a cd changer socket in the back but is a different kind to the changer lead. Is it going to be a case of sell the vw unit and buy jvc one?
