The B6 are designed to work with a shorter spring, and damping and valving is adjusted to suit the shorter travel with sport springs. The B4's are more like an OEM equivalent, as befits the lower cost compared to a B6. The standard ones will likely work fine too, but they won't be in their 'sweet s...

dampers / shocks

like many people i have 25/40 H&R springs on my car which i am happy with, my front shocks are now gone so i am thinking of replacing them

should i replace them with standard shocks?

Or should i go for something like bilstein b4/b6

+ how to sport shocks like them work with lowering springs?

Thats almost too low mileage for a 57 plate...engine components can seize and auto gearboxes too...along with oils and stuff going funny

over all condition?

sounds like a clutch/flywheel thing to me..

i used to have a 1.4 tdi and it did do 30 in 4th comfortably until the clutch started to wear out

Looking at getting mine done, it's the 1.6 90ps. I fired a quick email off to both Pendle Performance and Fatdubbers. Pendle have said 140bhp with 300nm torque, for £375+VAT, where as fatdubbers is £375 (seen them mentioned on here). Based in Warrington so not looking to have to travel too far, may...

power cable from can be from a little bung under the scuttle panel underneath the windscreen and then you just have to locate it from inside the car...i recommend removing the glove box
