Re: low clutch point

Mine was a bit like that a day after it was replaced you literally had to push the pedal really hard for it not to be biting, 20000 miles on and its now really really high although does have a tendency to move.

Re: Not sure about mfd

I have the same setup as above and I reckon it well worth the upgrade providing you can get one for a good price. The sound improvement in noticeable with a lot more bass. You'll need one of the plug and play looms and an antenna. I got an antenna off ebay and have if fitted under my passenger side ...

Re: V.weird Immobiliser issue help!

Vw wanted £45 from me just to read the f...

Re: air con help

I get the coolant level light come on after every service due to the coolant being replaced and filled up to half way between the two marks, I just get it topped up to the max marker and it goes away until my next service.

Re: Top Mount needs changing - is this OK?

I'd recommend doing both sides as well, I had one side go and just had that side replaced then a month later the other one went.

Re: Anyone fitted an MFD sat nav unit

http://i757.photobucket.com/albums/xx217/wildman_33/IMG_05151_zpsb9f0cf53.jpg Got it fitted over the weekend, well impressed with it. The seller had told me he had lost the disk but it turned out it was in the disk drive all along, although i've since updated it to 2012-2013. The sound quality is a...

Re: High mileage GT 130 buyers advice please

If you can, id take it for a drive, that way you can see how well it drives and listen for any knocks or squeaks. If the bodywork isnt beyond fixing its not bad for the price and Id consider it, especially if you know the seller. I bought mine with low mileage and a full service history and ive stil...

Re: Polo not starting... flashing key signal in the dash

Did you get this sorted in the end, I was having the exact same problem except my one would start up again after cutting out, I had my battery changed as it was the original and its been absolutely fine since, hasn't happened at all. The garage reckoned it could of been the voltage dropping as it st...

Re: battery flat

Depending on the age of the battery in your car it might be worth looking in to a new one, got my one changed the other week as it would crank over slowly sometimes when it was really cold and my immobiliser kept kicking in just after starting. Cars been great since starts so easily even in really c...

Re: Anyone fitted an MFD sat nav unit

I now have one on the way to me, it looks in pretty good condition although ill need to get an antenna, It also has an OEM iPod kit thrown in which I didnt even know VW ever made but ill probably sell it as I already have my XCarlink which I guess will offer more features. It also has a weird lookin...

Re: Anyone fitted an MFD sat nav unit

My car is a 9N so the standard unit is the Gamma unit so my Xcarlink uses the old style cd changer input. And the ones im looking at have codes and ill probably get a 2012 disk so the nav is actually useful. SOme of the ones im looking at also come with a wiring harness for the mk4 golf which im ass...

Re: EPC light brake light switch problem

When I had the brake light switch go on my old 6N2 the dealers only charged me about £40 for parts and fitting and they cleaned the car inside and out as well, the light came back on a day later and the dealers fitted it again for free. Id definitely recommend anyone with this problem asks how much ...
