Re: How many miles on a full tank - petrol???

I dont know how you guys drive but i'm lucky to see 300 miles between fill ups even driving like a 'granny' as mentioned earlier. however my average fill up is only for 36 - 38 litres i never let it get right empty.

Re: Using Oil!

Very good news Amir. But how did you get a new car if the new replacement engine in the current car is behaving itself and not using loads of oil? :? I think that maybe because the exchange was organised before the engine was replaced, as I have also been dealing with the dealer principal he seems ...

Re: Using Oil!

Yep brand new, I've just driven this scirrocco home and I have to say what a fantastic car. It's the 170 bhp 2 litre diesel. I don't think I'd miss the gti if I had one of these.

Re: Using Oil!

Update

My cars gone back to the dealer and I've been provided a jetta to use until mine is delivered.

I have been told the new car is going to be built week 50, so I should have it in January.

I can tell you after driving the jetta for a few days I am already missing my gti :(

Re: Using Oil!

Be warned the car exchange and refund process isn't as you would think. I have a new car on the way but for me to get this I have to pay 15 p per mile over 3000 miles, with my car now having done 16000 miles I am looking at around a 2000 bill. And worst of all after speaking to trading standards the...

Re: Using Oil!

After an email to the dealer principal it has now been sorted and I will be getting a brand new replacement . He spoke to vw on my behalf and said I can have anything Upto the value I paid for mine. [Sarcasm] Wow, that's generous [/Sarcasm] No offering of any compensation for the malarky you've bee...

Re: Using Oil!

At the moment yes, however the dealer principal is trying to organise me an exchange car to use, As the car will not go back to VW. The dealer is going to replace the bottom half of the block to sell the car. So they would like it so they can do the repairs, however they not allowed to sell it until...

Re: Using Oil!

Update!! My car is still at VW and has been since the 26th september. It seems to be a never ending issue. I think i may go down tomorrow and speak to the Dealer Principal and try and get this sorted. Yes, that is bad. Why are they holding it for so long? Waiting for parts? Think you do need to go ...
