I only ask because someone else is saying the problem is electrical. I just need to eliminate all possibilities

My passenger door has to be manually locked/ opened. I've fitted a new paddle shaped part ( a common fault) to the door handle, but it still doesn't work.

There's a White box midway down the door which I believe is the opening/closing mechanism ( solenoid I think )

Can anyone suggest what might ...
