I reckon so. Would need to see the part numbers on EKTA but when looking at my foglamps it seems you'd have to replace the whole foglamp with one with the 2 bulbs.

To get the mph on the display just go into 17-instruments and go into long coding and change the region from UK to Australia. Don't feel tempted to pick one of the other options. All have issues like the US makes all mpg ...

I had a look at activating cornering lights on vag com, when I did it the cluster threw a bulb fail light which leads me to believe that there's something missing hardware related.

The teardrop wipe activates after you spray your window. It will normally wipe a few times, but with the teardrop wipe it does another wipe a couple of seconds later to catch the dribble.

You need the HEX+CAN VCDS cable. The Micro-CAN VCDS cable (which is cheaper) is for Golf V technology cars only ...

Just had another fiddle with VDCS and have now done the following:

Teardrop wipe
Speed dependant wipers (they drop down the next lowest setting when you stop)
Disabled selective unlocking (I've always hated this on VWs)
Enabled locking after 15kph
Enabled unlocking when key removed.

Managed to get rid of the permanent 'Secondary Speed Display' on the GTI with a few clicks of the mouse using VCDS.

Just changed the coding of the cluster to Australia and it works a treat!

Now the temperature is in it's proper place at the bottom and I can select mph as I scroll through the MFD ...

I guess you're right. The unladen weight of an ED30 5-door is nearly 200kg more than a 3-door Polo GTI. That would certainly make a difference. Perhaps it's time I slowed down or maybe petition the council to re-tarmac our roads!

You know, that sounds almost exactly like what it feels like. The dash does rattle like that sometimes. I've booked into the dealers on Wednesday, will see what happens
