Re: Auto Kickdown
Hi All Been awhile but I did get the gearbox serviced (£150 quid), but the minute you drive a little 'harder' the gearbox is still very fearce if have to use the kickdown. The mechanic who did the service checked the ecu and there were two faults but forgot to give them to me!! He explained that he ...

He said that things like that 'happens' said that unless the car goes really bad ie: rough running/loss of power/generally 'not usual' things, to ...

Hi All Want to get a new set of alloys....bigger ones...but am a bit confused about the offset. I am going bigger on alloys and lower on the profile of the tyres so that the speedo is not compromised. I have the 9n standard alloys but want to go either 15inch or 16inch. What should the offset be for...

Re: Auto Kickdown
Apologies all......... Been away with work!! Keeno. Exactly, it was the harshness of it, a real kick in the back, but normal driving it is ok!! Havent done it again, afraid the gearbox might drop out!! Blazeguarder. It had a complete service (not sure about flush) the mechanic took it for a spin aft...

Auto Kickdown
Hi All Was going around one of those big roundabouts where you can go 30/35mph, not too sure what gear it was in. The exit was on a slight up slope so accelerated a little, there was quite a noticable 'kick' quite hard really, when it went down a gear. Took my foot off the pedal and there was a much...

engine block warning light
Hi All Engine block warning light came on this morning (over the weekend did apporx 300 miles without anything happening, no warning lights). Understand it means something about exhaust/emissions (?). Is there a short cut you could do to check fault code (on Corsa you do a paper clip test, you short...

Re: Head rests
Polo_oli..........Thanks for taking the time mate.
They are for a 2002-2005 (and I think up to the new shape) Polo 1.4. Not too worried about the colour as I have new covers for them. Even if you could have a look for me that would be great.
