Whats the top speed of the these? 0-100mph in 8.6 is epic

As stock with 270bhp they are limited to 155mph. Mine has been delimited and would probably top out around 170ish on,a,GPS.

Re: Golf R...... Hurdy.

That is outstanding! Anymore plans? Over 400bhp soon? Was there a torque limiter on the gearbox? Remember reading you hitting the limit of the gearbox with your polo Yes, plenty more plans. There's plenty of headroom in the R. The US guys have the R now too and are developing some pretty good stuff...

Re: Golf R...... Hurdy.

what does this water methanol thing do? never heard of it It injects a water methanol mix into the throttle pipe just before the air intake sensor to reduce intake temperatures through vaporisation and atomisation. The mix is then sent into the engine where it combusts to make more power. The metha...

Update........... Water methanol finally installed - awesome mod and I can highly recommend it http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t8/hurdy_album/IMAG0507_zps6ba20b38.jpg [/quote] Had the car on the dyno on Sunday with the water methanol running. The car was dyno'd in FWD mode due to the way the dyno...

Golf R...... Hurdy.

Yes, as most of you know, the lure of the 2.0TFSI, 4WD and the 6 speed DSG proved just too much for me to resist last year. After almost a year with my black 6R Polo GTI I was finally seduced by another Golf. So out rolled the Polo and in rolled a 60 plate Golf R DSG with just over 5k miles on her. ...

Re: Shell V-power

I'm not a moderator on this forum, but if I were I'd be asking you both to cool down a little. Not sure if ukmarine is trying to start a war or not (see the pun there? :D ), but I don't think slagging each other off is the best way to answer the OP's questions. On another note, I do enjoy a good rip...

Re: Questions about 6r GTI. Remapping. Intake and exhaust

Going straight to stage 2 is all well and good with the power mods, but the Polo GTI needs cooling to keep it running ok otherwise it will pull power back by reducing the ignition advance. There are also the basics like Uprated spark plugs - BKR8EIX and I also ran cooler rated antifreeze in the rad...

Re: Shell V-power

Just a quick question, really: I have a 1.2 70ps Polo, and I am thinking of using Shell V-power petrol instead of regular. Is it worth it,or is it all just an expensive waste of time?(especially on my engine)! You will not see any increase in power. You may feel that the engine runs a little smoother ...
