Re: Help/info central locking door will not open

About 6 months ago, my front passenger door did the same, (it wouldnt unlock) I thumped the door with the palm of my hand in the lock area a few times while working the fob button and it suddenly unlocked and has worked normally since.
You've nothing to lose by trying my method!

Cruise control fitting kit

Hi, I am thinking about fitting cruise to my 2003 9n 1.9tdi and I've read about poor access to the dreaded plug behind the dash but someone mentioned that I could bypass that plug and therefore avoid removing the dash and connect the wire directly to the ecu under the bonnet.... does anyone have det...

Re: Gearbox problem? 1.9TDi 2003

I would simply replace only the drive shaft boot, any play on the driveshaft won't have any effect on the life of the boot. Get a 2nd opinion on the alleged wear on the gearbox, as I would have thought that if this was true you would have lost all your gearbox oil by now and noticed oil where you pa...

Re: Polo 1.4 TDI - starting on 2 cylinders?

Might be one of the fuel hoses drawing in air, check for air bubbles in the fuel hoses when the engine is running. Also, is the fuel filter old?

Re: Interior lights not coming on when door opened.

Just checked the bulb and its blown!!

The rear roof light seems to have sorted itself out.. :D

edit....Seems that it was the blown bulb in the front rooflight caused the rear rooflight to stay on!......... odd :?:

Interior lights not coming on when door opened.

Hi,

Just noticed that my 'auto' roof light doesnt come on when the door is opened (and also when I unlock the car), also, the rear passenger roof light stays on all the time with the switch in the 'auto' door open position, even when the doors are closed and car is locked.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Re: VW Polo 1.4 TDI PD engine oil

If I was you, I'd mix another make semi-synthetic oil with the Millers oil, that will be absolutely fine. just be sure that the 'other' oil is suitable for PD engines.

What is the cheapest I will need to pay for VCDS?,

Would the item I posted do the same job, albeit not as easy to use?

Can you show me an example vcds off ebay?
