A few general questions
Hello,
A few questions about the 9n2 GTI:
1. As I understand the steering is hydraulic + electrically assisted, I want to move the entire thing to an old VW:
Will I be able to override the electrical assist via VAGCOM and stay with the hydraulic only?
2. Is the car CANBUS wired?
Thanks.

Re: Wet Floor: Rear Passenger Side, 6n2 GTI - 3-Door
Good idea, I'll try that.
I'm pretty sure it's not it though cause I would smell the special liquid in the car.
The front floor was wet, behind the pedals, I got under the rug but couldn't find anything.

Re: Wet Floor: Rear Passenger Side, 6n2 GTI - 3-Door
Ok so I looked and there is nothing that looks like it transports water - only electric wires.
Also I have noticed that the front floor is damp but not soaked like the back.
PS
It's a left hand side car - my steering wheel is on the left side and not the right side like the British - does that ...

Re: Golf mk4 GTI steering wheel into 6n2 GTI
You literally posted 2 mins before I was going to post.
I asked a friend who did the same thing with his Golf Mk3 and he said the exact same thing - just need to drill 3 holes in the steering wheel.
In the next week or 2 I will be doing this and I'll upload the pictures.
Thank you all very much ...

Ok, and modifying it means what, cutting plastic? welding electric wires?
I'm trying to understand if I'm up for the job.

Re: Golf mk4 GTI steering wheel into 6n2 GTI
Really? I was pretty sure it's a straight fit.
What would I need to change?
Is there a steering wheel that fits right in?
Thanks!

Golf mk4 GTI steering wheel into 6n2 GTI
Hello,
I want to buy a Golf mk4 GTI steering wheel (leather, 3-spoke) and fit it into my 6n2 GTI.
Is it a straight fit or do I need to adapt anything?
Thanks.

Thank you for your reply.
Can you explain a little better where the pipe that came apart is located? I didn't get it.
Thanks.

Wet Floor: Rear Passenger Side, 6n2 GTI - 3-Door
Hi,
I have a 3-door 6n2 GTI and my floor carpet behind the passenger is soaking wet.
I cleaned the drains under the windscreen (by the wipers) and it didn't help.
Am I missing a rear drain somewhere?
Also I'm missing the rubber around the antenna, could that be it?
PS
The door and wall seem to be ...
