Re: Re: Are You Using Oil?
It feels like I am the guinea pig for the third time. You are right, in this story what is more incredible is that a brand like VW is using customers like guinea pigs after more than three years since the oil problem has surfaced the first time with Ibiza... :!: I would expect that from Fiat for ex...

Re: Are You Using Oil?
Look at this action coming from Australia: or a definitive solution will be found or 33.000$ refund are asked...!!!

New engine...
BTW, if you have time take a look to what this crazy German guy is telling me HERE, from his point of view VW is on the right side with TSI-180 and when our warranty will be expired we will have to pay to fix (which fix so far?) a huge engine project bug...!

Re: 6R Polo GTI hybrid WMI project
Hurdy, you surely know if our Polo has those rear weights as in the Fabia...
http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/22 ... tch-guide/
May be the weights are installed on the Fabia just because they have the battery inside the engine bay?

Re: Using Oil!
In Europe the manual user says that the limit is 1 liter per 2.000Kms, so for you should be 1liter every 1242miles...
They cannot contest what the user manual states...

Re: Using Oil!
We had a couple of cases like your in Italy: the guy of the link below increased his consumption from 1 liter ever 2.500Km to 1 liter every 1.000Km after pipe changing with his Ibiza.... Can't understand why... :?: http://www.ibizatuningclub.com/ITC_Forum/viewtopic.php?f=144&t=27867&start=18...

Re: Using Oil!
Hi there, any news about the pipe change? By my side, I'm close to 2.000Km after the replacement, oil consumption is about halved: before it was about 1 liter every 10.000Km, now will probably be half (1mm on the dipstick in about 2.000Km)... Furthermore, the big intake pipe, where the new breather ...

Re: 6R Polo GTI hybrid WMI project
Hurdy, in the link below is not for sure a good way to threat the DSG7, but taking an approximate measure on 0-100 Km/h it seems a good time for a stock GTI...!
Have you ever tried this?

Re: Using Oil!
How many miles since you have the new pipe installed? Consider that after the new pipe inlet there is all the intake system, included intercooler radiator, so if this system is full of oil, previously injected by the old pipe, it takes a certain time to clean itself... May be that with some strong t...

Gavs, probably I was not clear , my experience is that after pipe changing the big intake pipe is now dry, not like in the old pic...
But it's too early to say that is better than before, I need to drive for other 1.000Km before drawing a conclusion...

Re: Using Oil!
After having installed the breather pipe by myself (see a little tutorial here ), today I've checked the big corrugated intake pipe and I found it completely dry. It's soon to sing victory, also because I've done only about 250Km, but I was used to find the big pipe oil-wet also after few kms, like ...

Re: Using Oil!
Just bought the pipe (63€), I'll install by myself this evening, hoping for some improvements, even if I'm fine (1 liter per 10.000Km) compared to other people...
