Re: Just had a female moment...

I'm not too worried about it TBH, I always used be be really OCD about my car being damaged by other people, but this didn't really bother me. I might be able to get a new cover for the mirror or get it painted. I'll be handing the car back when I get half way through the finance so I'll probably le...

Just had a female moment...

 crashed into my garage wall and took all the paint off my passenger side mirror. First time I've hit anything in 7 years of driving... At least it wasn't a car I hit

Re: 6R mpg talk & cluster speed accuracy

I only get 43mpg from my 1.4 match and I drive very gently. I think the standard 1.4 is a pretty crap engine TBH, Suzuki can squeeze 93bhp from their 1.2 and it's more efficient and faster than the VW 1.4.

Re: Feeler: Genuine VW 6R armrest

I don't think any new parts will be needed for my car, as far as I'm aware it just screws into the rear cup holder.

I'm open to reasonable offers. So far I've only had timewasters contact me.

Genuine VW 6R armrest SOLD

I just thought I'd see if anyone would be interested in buying my armrest (providing I can remove it)? My car is brand new, and I rather stupidly specced the armrest. I don't do any motorway miles at all, so I basically can't use the armrest (because I'm always needing to use the handbrake). Anyway,...

Re: swapping car on finance?

If you have it on PCP you can swap it any time but will have to make up the difference between what you owe and what you've paid off. If you swap it after 3 years they will give you some money towards a deposit as the car will be worth slightly more than your GMFV figure.

Do the wind deflectors stop your hair being rustled when the window is open slightly?

Why no 1.2 TSI with DSG?

They get the DSG option with the 1.2 TSI in Europe, seems stupid that they don't offer it here. If I bought another Polo, that would be the spec I'd want to buy. Why, VW???

Re: Polo ordered! Three month wait begins...

Anyone know how long the free insurance is supposed to take to come through? I've had the car a week and a half and still got no insurance documents or any details at all, they said I had three weeks to send my NCB discount but I can't until I actually get my policy number and documents. I swear I'm...

Re: Polo ordered! Three month wait begins...

Both of the rings just push on, they are milled aluminium and tight enough that they don't fall off when you push them on.

The black plate surround is screwed on but my number plate goes over the top of the screws, so I don't know if the number plate is just stuck on with double-sided tape.

Anyone know how the number plate is attached to the black surround? I had an accident with a bird this morning and broke mine :?

Re: Polo ordered! Three month wait begins...

PumpkinPie, I know you've mentioned you fitted an SEL grille. May I ask what you have done with your old grill? Reason for asking - I had a pebble go through mine and it's left a three inch hole in mine so i'm looking for a 2nd hand lower grill in decent condition. Would you sell yours? You can hav...
