No one has a pin out for the ECU?
I thought this was the most popular polo conversion engine?

What bore size is the exhaust. It's possible you've gone too big and lost some power. Especially with a four branch, scavenging effect is more crucial.
As with all 8v vw, a hot cam will really wake it up.
Throttle bodies are good but a lot of effort and cash.
Why not put a 16v in?
