Indeed, I have the 1.4 16v 100bhp version and it is certainly packs a punch especially as it's just as fast as a lot of 1.6's such as Ford Focus's and Vauxhall Astra's.

Re: 100bhp Polo - My First Car

Its good to see another 100bhp 6n2!! Thats how mine started out as and have made some major changes to mine over the years since owning it. They are great cars, really cheap on insurance and running costs low. As well as really cool looking. I think it's a fantastic car especially as it's my first....

Re: 100bhp Polo - My First Car

Last month I had a problem with my ABS. The light would come on intermittently so I scanned it with VCDS Light and it came up with the following. 1 Fault Found: 01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64) 16-10 - Signal Outside Specifications - Intermittent I ignored it for roughly a week until it started to c...

Re: Lost keys

I'm thinking about getting a key made as the previous owner lost the spare key. I'm thinking of buying a blank one from Ebay for £7 including a blank transponder. I will get it cut at a local locksmith and then take it to VW for them to program the chip. Anyone got any ideas how much it will cost fo...

Hickeys.co.uk can supply the key with a blank immo chip Audi dealers can cut the keys based on your original and VW can program them Thanks, but it's the least of my problems at the moment as the ABS light comes on intermittently. I scanned it with VCDS Light and it has come up with the following. ...

Immobiliser Chips

Does anyone know what chip is needed for 6n2's as I believe there are different types. Am I right in thinking it is an ID44 chip :?:

Also does anyone know if you can get replacement keys made without the 'key tag' which states the key number :?:

I've got a 1.4 16v and mine is quite noisy but seems to be running fine. I've heard this is normal and like Alex said it can get louder with age.
